The History of Crusty Barnacle'

The Crusty Barnacle' is a tall ship built in 1730 in Lowestoft, England. Her first name was "East Devil's Pearl" and then changed
to Crusty Barnacle' when she worked out of the town of Springfield, England. This vessel is built of English oak on oak with a
typical English plum stem which creates a lengthening of the waterline and gives her an advantage in sailing speed.

The ship, designed for carrying cargo and passengers, had its first career sailing the heaviest ocean in the world, the North Sea,
before making it's passage East on behalf of the East India Company. During her maiden voyage into Asia, she carried tons of
gold and silver in her holds to trade for spices.

While sailing en route to the the spice island of Run The Crusty Barnacle' was attacked by pirates, her crew thrown overboard and
the ship taken as a prize. It was said that the Pirate responsible was non other than Mad Mike, a brutal and eccentric pirate
pillaging the sea routes of the time.

Mad Mike and The Crusty Barnacle continued to harrass shipping for years to come and a huge bounty was put on the Captain's
head and for the return of the ship. The Crusty Barnacle dissapeared from sight and was seldom seen, only to emerge from time
to time under a full moon in Nongsa Bay, where the ship was repaired from damage taken in battle. As crews seldom survived the
ordeals of Mad Mike's adventures, The Crusty Barnacle also took on new (and sometimes unwilling) pirate crew for it's perilous
adventures.
